Horsemanship Sessions

Forever Faithful is Closed for Lessons for the Month of August.  Reopening September 4th 2018

  • All lessons are targeted towards children and families who love horses and desire to know more about them. Our horses teach you more than just Horsemanship, they help you with life lessons.

  • Our sessions are aimed towards children that just want to get to know horses by learning about their behaviors, grooming and saddling techniques and/or want to learn Western Riding or gain confidence, leadership, or just improve themselves by touching the spirit of the horse.

  • Here at Forever Faithful, we teach you the Love of God, Natural Horsemanship, the fundamentals of western riding, the basics for “How to care for the Horse”, fundamentals of barrel racing and speed events, trail riding and centered riding and more…..

  • We have a fun atmosphere where you can learn about horsemanship through games and fellowship. We teach you how to saddle, groom, etc, as well as, how to turn your first barrel.

  • Lessons are semi-private. There are only two students per class. We want to make sure you get one on one time with the instructor and the horse.

Teri Matter

Teri Matter has had over 40 Years of experience with a variety of horses. Her horsemanship and Western riding skills helped her to achieve a position with Disneyland Paris in Paris France from 1992-2002. Performing with and training horses. She stayed with Disneyland Paris for ten years mostly performing the role of the legendary markswoman "Annie Oakley" in the reenactment of "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show". She continued to study Western Riding from many of the best Professional Rodeo Cowboys who also performed in the show and she owes most of her horsemanship skills to Jean Luis Wipliez who taught her the basics of dressage, English Riding and a small degree of stunt riding.

After returning to The United States, Teri studied horse training and handling under Lonnie Johnson and is now EAP certified.

In addition to her training and experiences as a rider, Teri attended the University of Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Education.

Our  Equine Educators

"At Forever Faithful, my goals are to teach children to be the best rider that they can be, to connect with their horse on a spiritual level and strengthen their bond through confidence and positive influence. Riding horses isn’t just something we do, it’s a lifestyle, a privilege, and a gift that has been given to man by God. I plan on continuing my walk through Faith, my training, and hopefully I am able to work hard enough to make it to the NFR one day. I am on my way to getting my equine therapy license, I plan on using that to help children and adults with disabilities. I have been truly blessed with my endeavors in barrel racing and want to help and spread my knowledge to others who truly love the sport just as I do"
